Chris Cicuto named Interim Associate Dean of Athletics at Glendale College

Chris Cicuto has served Glendale Community College since 2001 as an adjunct health and physical education instructor, Lifestyle Fitness Center & Weight Lab Technician, Athletic Equipment Attendant, Head Baseball Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and tenured Assistant Professor of Kinesiology.

Mr. Cicuto holds a Master of Arts in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University; a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of California, Riverside; and an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Ventura College.  While he was an undergraduate student athlete Mr. Cicuto competed in intercollegiate baseball for UC Riverside, and at Ventura College where he was an All-Western State Conference selection.

GCC's head baseball coach since 2003, Mr. Cicuto has guided the Vaqueros to six Western State Conference (WSC) championships, four Southern California regional championships, and one final four appearance in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) state playoffs.  Along the way he has garnered six WSC Coach of the Year awards and, in 2011, was named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Coach of the Year for the ABCA Pacific Region.       

As the Interim Associate Dean of Athletics, Mr. Cicuto will provide administrative leadership for the GCC Athletics Department and direct the activities of more than forty head and assistant coaches and over 300 student athletes who compete for GCC's fifteen men's and women's intercollegiate teams.
