Citrus College picked up its third Western State Conference victory Friday afternoon, downing Glendale College 6-1.

The Owls improve to 5-2-2 on the year and 3-0-1 in conference with the win, while the Vaqueros drop to 1-7-1 overall, 0-4-0 in WSC action.

Jordan Crooymans had a stellar game, scoring three goals and assisting twice. She scored her first two goals within two and a half minutes from each other. The first came after she pinged the post on a shot but followed through and tapped in the rebound. Less than three minutes later, she was in the right place at the right time as a Vaquero deflection fell right to her in the 18-yard box and she put it away.

Glendale stunned Citrus in the 63rd minute after scoring a goal to cut the margin to one, but the Owls came alive and put four more goals away to secure the victory.

In the 65th minute, Crooymans completed the hat trick after one-touching in a corner kick pass from Stevie Spencer.

Less than five minutes later Megan Sewell scored her first collegiate goal, before Jayme Beatty (75th minute) and Dianna Garcia (77th minute) also got in on the scoring action to seal the victory for the Owls.

Citrus remains at home as College of the Canyons comes to town on Tuesday for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
