Women's Beach Volleyball improving after splitting matches against Saddleback & Victor Valley
A close 4-1 loss to Saddleback last Friday in GCC's first match turned out to be an omen as the Lady Vaqueros
stormed back to beat Victor Valley 4-1 Feb. 28. For GCC in the match of five pairs, the No. 2 team of Tamia Cephus and Emerson Gohrick won 21-5 and 21-7, the No. 3 team of Kayla Madrid and Savannah Antolin won 21-6, and 21-2, the No. 4 team of Claire Codding and Kristine Robles won 21-4 and 21-3 and the No. 5 team of Mary
Artsvelian and Nelissa Boodaghyan won 21-0, 21-0.
"We had a great day, said Head Coach Yvette Ybarra. "Last year we got killed by Saddleback and this year we went three games in all but one match.''
