Troy Viola signs to play at San Jose State in 2019
GCC sophomore baseball player Troy Viola singed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at San Jose State University in 2019. Viola, a 6-foot-2 shortstop from Summit, Or, signed his commitment paper work in front of his teammates Saturday Nov. 18 before the team's annual alumni baseball game.
 
Viola hist ,286 overall and .300 in WSC play for the Vaqueros last season that the finished the year 33-10 overall and 16-4 in the WSC South. He played in 31 games with one homer and 13 RBI while scoring 31 runs and stealing six bases for Glendale.
 
Glendale hosted a first round series in the California Community College Baseball Regionals and fell to El Camon 2-1 in the three game series.
