Vaqs rally for 3-2 win in 10 innings over Victor Valley, now 7-0 in WSC East

 
Down 2-1 in the ninth inning, Glendale scratched out a single run in the ninth inning to tie and the winning run in the 10th to rally for a 3-2 victory over Victor Valley College Friday March 22. GCC, which holds a two game lead over Citrus and Canyons in the WSC East, is now 7-0 in conference play and 18-9 overall.
 
Brandon Lewis had no hits on the day but drove in a run and scored twice to help account for all the GCC scoring. Tom Tabak had two hits for Glendale, and Jacob Gribbin, Konner Piotto, Troy Viola and Jake Selco all had singles for the Vaqs which had no extra base hits. Dexter Wilkerson was the starting pitcher for GCC and scattered two hits and struck out eight and Kevin Holcomb got the save.
 
Glendale hosts Victor Valley Friday March 30 at 12:30 pm at Stengel Field in a game that was rained out on March 22.
