Jason Whaley, GCC staff toss 1-hitter in 14-0 win over Victor Valley
Jason Whaley tossed seven innings of one hitter ball Friday March 30 and GCC pounded out 15 hits in a 14-0 win over Victor Valley College. The win was the eighth in a row as Glendale improved to 8-0 in the WSC East and 19-9 overall.
Mitchell Rathbun and Troy Viola paced the Glendale offense with three hits each and Rathbun chipped in with four RBI including a double and home run. Thad Wilson, Tom Tabak and Conner Pioto had two hits each with Tabak and Jacob Gribbin adding triples. Kevin Holcomb earned the save.
The Vaqs continue WSC East play this week with games at Barstow Tuesday April 3 at 2:30, home against Barstow Thursday April 5 at 2:30 and at Barstow April 7 at 1 pm.
