Vaqs rally for three in the ninth to beat Antelope Valley 4-3

 
Glendale rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to rally for a 4-3 win over Antelope Valley April 9 at Stengel Field. GCC is now 11-1 in the WSC East and 22-10 overall.
 
Lucas Saky delivered the game winner with a suicide squeeze bunt that he had to lunge across the plate to make contact with the outside pitch to drive home Jacob Gribbin with the game winner. Sakay and Gribbin each had three hits and Brandon Lewis homered to start the rally in the ninth which the Vaqs entered trailing 3-1. Thad Wilson and Tony LaPorte had the other hits for GCC.  Chris Davidson was the starting pitcher for Glendale going eight innings but left trailing 3-1 and Anthony Robles got the win in relief.
 
Glendale plays at Antelope Valley Thursday at 2:30 and hosts AV Saturday at 1 pm.
