Glendale fell to College of the Canyons 4-2 Thursday April 19, ending the Vaquero four game winning streak and cutting its lead in the WSC East to two games with four regular season games left to play.

 
The Vaqs led 2-0 in the sixth inning behind a solid five inning performance by starting pitcher Jason Whaley, who striking out four and allowing just three hits. Tony Laporte paced the GCC offense with two hits and drove in both runs. Tom Tabak also had two hits for Glendale. 
 
GCC, 25-11 and 14-2 in the WSC East, plays Canyons at 1 pm Saturday. A Glendale win will clinch at least a tie for the WSC East title, its sixth since 2011.
