Glendale fell to Pasadena City College 3-2 Friday in an opening round game
Glendale fell to Pasadena City College 3-2 Friday in an opening round game of the 2018 Southern California Regionals best two out of three series. Glendale, now 28-13, will have to beat Pasadena, 23-18, in the 11 am first game Saturday to force at third game Saturday, scheduled to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
 
The Vaqs could muster only seven hits on offense, two each by Troy Viola and Jacon Gribbin who each had doubles. Tot Tabak had an RBI singles in the first inning to give GCC a 1-0 lead and Thad Wilson had an RBI single in the ninth to make it 3-2. Lucas Sakay had the only other Glendale hit.
 
Starter Dexter Wilkerson took the loss for the Vaqs, giving up all of the PCC runs in hs 3.1 innings of work. Relievers Felix Rubi and Anthony Robles kept the Lancers at bay for the rest of the game.
