Brandon Lewis homers twice in 14-8 GCC win over Chaffey

Brandon Lewis homered twice and drove in five runs to lead Glendale to a 14-8 win over Chaffey Tuesday afternoon at Stengel Field. GCC improved to 7-6 with the victory. 

Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the  inning, hit a grand slam homer over the left field fence to give the Vaqs a 4-1 advantage and they tacked on two more to make it 6-1. Three players had three hits each on a day that GCC pounded out 17 hits. Fernando Rosales had three hits including a pair of double, Michael Choi had three hits including a double and drove in three runs and Tom Tabak also had three hits. Starting pitcher Dexter Wilkerson got the win after striking out eight in five innings of work.

Glendale finishes out the week of play with road games at Cypress Thursday Feb. 28 at at Oxnard Friday March 1. Both games start at 2 pm.
