GCC Baseball Players Holcomb and Slattery get selected in MLB Draft

Interim Head Baseball Coach Alex Kocol is pleased to share that two of our student-athletes were selected in the Major League Baseball Draft this week.

Kevin Holcomb is a right-handed pitcher from Frazier Park—a two-year letter winner he was a pre-season All American and earned Academic All-State honors and has accepted a scholarship to UCLA, the top-ranked baseball program in the country. Kevin was selected by the Houston Astros in the 13th round of the MLB Draft.

Casey Slattery is a left-handed first baseman out of Pasadena.  An All-conference selection and gold glove winner, he has been accepted to UC Irvine and USC.  Casey was selected by the New York Mets in the 38th round of the MLB Draft.
