GCC's Kevin Holcomb signs minor league contract with Houstoin Astros
Former GCC baseball player Kevin Holcomb has signed a minor league contract with the Houston Astros after being drafted in the 13th Round in the MLB Draft in June of 2019
Holcomb, a sophomore from Frazier Park, was a pre-season All-American for the Vaqueros and helped lead the team to back to back Western State Conference East Division Titles in 2018-19. The all-WSC East second teamer earned All-State Academic honors and in his most memorable performance of the season threw 136 pitches over nine innings to help Glendale beat Santa Barbara in the Southern California Regional Playoffs May 4.
He is currently pitching for the Astros Minor League team out of the Gulf Coast League
