GCC Baseball wins back-to-back games against Fullerton 11-9 Feb. 8 and 3-2 Feb. 9 to improve to 3-2 this season.
Alex Dolan hit a walk off two-run homer to give the GCC Baseball Team a come from behind 11-9 win over visiting Fullerton College Thursday night at Stengel Field and the Vaqs followed that up with a 3-2 win at Fullerton Friday Feb. 9. Glendale is now 3-2 this season.
 
In the win Thursday, GCC pounded out 12 hits led by Gabe Juarez who had three doubles and two RBI, Ethan Kearney had two hits including a double and a triple and three RBI and Andrew Cisneros and Ethan Pena also had two hits each. Starting pitcher Jimmy Cafferty had 10 strikeouts in his four innings of work and Dylan Goodrich got the win with a scoreless ninth inning.
 
GCC had just three hits, all extra base hits in the 3-2 win Friday with Kearney hitting his second triple in two games and stealing a base and Izzy Madariaga and Cisneros hit doubles. The Vaqs trailed 2-0 early but scored single runs in the 5th, 7th and 8th innings to secure the win as Matt Cuccias earned the victory and Joe Estrada got the save.
 
Glendale has three games on the schedule next week, at Golden West College Tuesday Feb. 13 and at home vs El Camino College Thursday Feb. 15 at 1 pm and at home Friday Feb. 16 at 2 pm against Golden West at Stengel Field.
