GCC Baseball completes sweep of Antelope Valley College with 10-2-win Saturday March 16; now 13-9 overall and 4-2 in WSC South
Gabe Juarez had three hits and four RBI including a pair of doubles as the GCC Baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Antelope Valley College 10-2 Saturday March 16. The win is the third straight for Glendale which is 13-9 overall and is tied for second in the WSC South at 4-2.
 
The Vaqs totaled 13 hits for the game as they led 6-0 in the 5th inning after a bases loaded double by Juarez as GCC increased the lead to 9-0 in that same inning. Alex Dolan, Ethan Pena and Andrew Cisneros all had two hits each in support of starting pitcher Joe Estrada, who pitched three innings and struck out six to get the win. Daniel Vergara threw one inning and Austin Nimri pitched three innings to close out the win.
 
GCC continues WSC South play this week with three games against West L.A. College, Tuesday March 19 on the road at 2:30 pm and home games Thursday 21 and Friday March 22 at 2:30 pm at Stengel Field.
