Glendale on wrong end of 69-18 loss to L.A. Valley College

A 73 yard punt return for a touchdown from Job McGinty was one of the few highlights for Glendale Collegwe Saturday in it's 62-18 loss to Valley College Saturday at Sartoris Field. The Vaqueros dropped to 1-7 and 0-3 in Metro League play with the defeat while the Monarchs improved to 6-3 and 3-0.

GCC was down 27-10 at halftime following a 27 yard field goal from kicker Chris Wood, who also had six punts on the day with a long of 61 and an average of 44.5. But Wood's efforts and that of quarterback Nathan Eldridge who passed for 141 yards and one score on a 14 yard play to Christopher Lee was not enough to stave off Valley.

Matt Bejanian added the last two points for GCC when the snap was low and he ran in for the conversion for the two point play. Angel Santana led the defensive effort with 10 tackles, eight solo, and Eddie Delgado added nine solo stops.

Glendale continues Metro League play with a 1 pm contest Saturday Nov. 3 at Santa Ana College.
