Elijah Washington: Transfer Spotlight

If you were looking for Elijah Washington at anytime during the 2019 GCC Football season, he was easy to find because he was everywhere. Wearing No. 25, he accounted for almost 1,000 yards of total offense running the ball, catching passes and making punt and kickoff returns. He even intercepted a pass on defense and provided timely blocking when necessary. He will be transferring back to the University of La Verne where he played as a freshman in 2018 but he will be returning with more accolades and confidence than when he left.

Quote: "Glendale to me felt a lot like my high school experience, just a group of young men having fun doing what they love. It's never a high school or college athlete's plan to go the junior college route, yet that's exactly where my path took me. I was lucky enough to attend one of the most tight knit and supportive junior college communities out there. Glendale to me is more than just a school or a place to play football. I met new people and made relationships that I'll cherish for the rest of my life."
