Glendale wins tourney opener, 75-70.

Serigne Athj scored 20 points and Jordan Matthews added 19 off the bench and a team high 11 rebounds to pace Glendale to a 75-70 win over tourney host Compton College Tuesday night.

Steven Hubbell added 12 points and Dominic Gully had 10 off the bench to lead the Vaqueros into the championship semifinals Tuesday against Chaffey.

Glendale improved to 5-6 with the win.
