Serigne Athj helps lead GCC to Chaffey Consolation title

Serigne Athj scored 18 points to help lead the Glendale Men's Basketball Team to a 78-66 win over El Camino Compton College Jan. 5 to win the Chaffey Tournament Consolation Title.
 
Glendale, now 7-10 this season, had four players in double figures including Dominic Gulley with 16 points, all tournament selection Chris Daniels with 12 points and Jordan Matthews with 10. Matthews led the Vaqs with 11 rebounds and Gulley, Matthews and Steven Hubbell all had four assist each.
 
The Vaqs open conference play Saturday Jan. 13 at home vs Victory Valley at 5 pm in the Verdugo Gym
