Glendale College could not overcome a poor not of shooting as they fell to L.A. Pierce College 55-52 in a first round game of the West L.A. Tournament. The Vaqueros trailed 23-18 at halftime and even outscored the Brahmas 34-32 in the second half despite shooting 34.5 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from the free throw line.
Starting guard Tre'j Floyd led the Vaqueros with 16 points om six of 11 from the field and also had a team high eight rebounds. Sophomore Steven Hubbell added nine points and four assists and Andre Banton also had nine points.
Glendale plays a consolation bracket game Friday against Barstow College at 3 pm
