GCC MBB beats Cuesta College 62-59 to even record at 7-7; WSC play starts this week
After being on the wrong end of several narrow losses this season, the GCC Men's Basketball Team found a way to win a close game Saturday January 6 as they rallied to beat visiting Cuesta College 62-59. They are now 7-7 heading into WSC South play starting this week.
 
Guard Tyson Jackson played every minute of the game and led the Vaqs with 19 points as three Glendale players scored in double figures. Abiel Pearl had 14 points, six rebounds and two assists and Powell Mousaian had 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
 
GCC opens WSC South play at home Wednesday Jan. 10 against Santa Monica City College at 5 pm in the Verdugo Gym. They play at West L.A. College Saturday Jan. 13 at 3 pm.
