Glendale beat Bakersfield 4-1 Friday Oct. 20 at Sartoris Field

Glendale beat Bakersfield 4-1 Friday Oct. 20 at Sartoris Field to improve to 3-1 for second place in the WSC South and 4-8-3 overall.

The game was tied at 1-1 at halftime thanks to a first half goal by Yasine Larainchi, on an assist by Christopher Mazzi at the 53:25 mark to tie the game at 1-1.
 
The Vaqueros took the field in the second half with a strong resolve and showed it while scoring three times on offense and on defense with goalie Alexis Guzman facing only two shots on goal all night.  Fabricio Bonilla got the scoring started with as goal on the second assist of the night by Mazzi at the 50:51 mark to give GCC the lead for good at 2-1, his eight goal of the season and second of the week. Luis Cervantes added an unassisted goal at the 61:55 mark and Ahmed Alqatan added the capper on an unassisted score at the 79:23 mark to make the final score 4-1 Glendale.
 
Glendale continues WSC South play this week with a game Tuesday Oct. 24 at Victor Valley at 4 pm and a home game Friday Oct. 27 at 5 pm vs Canyons at Sartoris Field.
