Men's Soccer team opens season with 2-0 win at Santa Monica
Following a season where the Vaqueros celebrated victory just one time. the GCC Men's Soccer Team equaled that result with a 2-0 win at Santa Monica City College Tuesday August 27.
Goals by Danny Meza Gonzalez and Alan Trujillo provided the offensive spark for the Vaqs with Esteban Alcantar assisting on both scores. Goalie Alfredo "Tito" Tejada was dominant for Glendale as the net minder with several saves throughout the game.
"They played for each other with discipline,'' said GCC Head Coach Laura Matsumoto,'' It was a great positive start and we'll work hard to keep growing.''
Glendale fell 3-0 at Fullerton Friday Aug. 30 at 1 pm and the Vaqs make their 2019 home debut Tuesday September 3 at 7 pm at Sartoris Field against Cypress College.
