Men's Soccer wins 4th straight game by shutout; team record improves to 6-4

The string of shutout wins stretched to four straight after a 2-0 win over Moorpark last Tuesday Sept. 24 and a 1-0 nail biter over Allan Hancock Sept. 27 for the GCC Men's Soccer team. The Vaqs record is now 6-4.

In the 2-0 win over Moorpark, Ricky Morales scored with an assist by Jafet Perez to make it 1-0 and then a goal by Andrew Senane made it 2-0 on an assist by Wilmer Bonilla. Goalkeeper Tito Tejada had 10 saves to preserve the win. Daniel Meza Gonzalez scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win over Hancock last Friday at the 26:24 of the first half unassisted and it fell to Tejada at goal to preserve the win with eight big saves.

Tejada now has four straight shutouts at goalie for the Vaqs and five overall this season.

Glendale plays at L.A Harbor Tuesday Oct. 1 at 7:30 pm and hosts Pasadena Friday Oct. 4 at 7 pm at Sartoris Field.
