Glendale falls to El Camino 3-1 in a hard fought game
On paper, the men's soccer between the host Glendale College and visiting El Camino College might have been considered a potential one-sided contest at Sartoris Field Tuesday Sept. 21. The visiting Warriors came into the game with a 5-0 record with a ranking of No. 5 in the latest United Soccer Coaches NJCAA Div. III Rankings, while the Vaqueros were 2-4-1, and had not scored a goal in its past three games.
And despite falling to El Camino 3-1, Glendale battled to trail only 1-0 at halftime and trailed by only one goal at 2-1 for a period of time after Lan Shin "Austin" Tsai scored for the Vaqueros early in the second half. El Camino scored once more following that score to take the two-goal final advantage.
Glendale ends play this week on the road Friday at 6 pm at east Los Angeles College.
