GCC Men's Soccer starts fast but settle for 2-2 tied against Canyons Oct. 24
The GCC Men's Soccer team had a two-goal advantage with less than nine minutes elapsed in the WSC match at College of the Canyons but couldn't make it last as both teams played to a 2-2 tie Oct. 24. Glendale is now 5-9-3 overall and 0-3-2 in WSC play.
 
An unassisted goal by Samer El Batel at the 4:10 mark of the first half got the ball rolling for the Vaqs to give the visitors a 1-0 lead and then J.P. Crispi scored his fourth goal of the year unassisted to make it 2-0 but Canyons countered with a late goal in the first half and the game tyer in the second for the final score tie. Tigran Malumyan had four saves on six shots on goal.
 
Glendale continues WSC play with a 2 pm home match Friday Oct. 27 against Citrus College.
