2017 Season Preview

The men's tennis team is looking forward to their 2017 season. There are four returning players along with seven newcomers.  Coach Mackay is very excited about the chemistry and talent of these 11 young men.

There are four returning players, Chris Pope, Arin Meserkhani, Masaki Kimura and John Robertson. The remaining 7 players are led by Hrant Agakanyan, Chris Ghadimi, Kevin Orellana, David Preciado, Stephen Sandoval, Andres Simental and Christian Hess.

The season home opener for the Vaqueros is Tuesday, January 31st at 2pm against Mt. San Antonio College.  Some other home non-conference highlight matches are Fullerton, Riverside, Cypress, Imperial Valley, S.D. Mesa, Swarthmore, New Mexico Military and Brandeis University.

Coach Mackay believes that a challenging non-conference schedule will prepare the Vaqueros both team and individuals for a tough Western State Conference and post season play.  The team and coaches would like to thank you in advance for the individuals who come out and support the team.

Those who cannot make it to the matches this year can follow the team on the website, where Twitter feeds will give updates on matches. Additionally, a direct link will soon be put on the webpage that will allow users to access the California Community College Tennis Association's and Intercollegiate Tennis Association's team and player rankings directly from the men's tennis website.
