Glendale sweeps San Bernardion Valley in doubleheader, 11-9 and 6-5

In a season that has been nothing less than challenging, the GCC Women's Softball team put weeks of frustration behind them by sweeping San Bernardino Valley College 11-9 and 6-5  in a doubleheader Thursday at the Glendale Sports Complex. The Lady Vaqs are now 3-18-1 in a season where they have battled injuries and several rainouts over the past 22 games.

In the 11-9 win in the first game, Olivia Jukes, Eve Ramirez and Reagan Atallah all had two hits in the win with Atallah driving in three runs and hitting a triple. Ramirez also homered and drove in four runs in support of the win.

In the 6-5 win in the second game, Megan Gamboa  had three hits and Jukes had two hits  with Gamboa pacing the offense with a double and a homer and two RBI. Arlene Barahona got the pitching win.

Glendale hosts Pasadena at 5 pm Saturday March 30 at the Glendale Sports Complex and next week, they host L.A. Mission College Tuesday April 2 at 2:30 pm and host L.A. Valley College Thursday April 4 at 1 pm.
