Raymond Lopez and Head Coach Eddie Lopez win Western State Conference Awards

Congratulations to sophomore runner Raymond Lopez, who was named WSC Track Athlete of the Year, and Eddie Lopez, who was named WSC Coach of the Year, at the recent end of year meeting of conference coaches.

Raymond Lopez, who will attend Chico State University in the Fall, led the Vaqueros to the 2018 WSC Track and Field Title with championship runs in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters and accounted for 28 points that included the 1500 meters. He earned All-American honors with top finishes at the state meet May18-19.

Coach Eddie Lopez has been recognized with the WSC Coach of the Year Award multiple times in cross country and track for both the men and women;s teams at GCC as well as State Coach of the Year honors.
