2019 Vaquero Classic Invitational
Friday-Saturday April 5/6, 2019
Entry Fees: Team entries will be $175 per team or $350 per college and $20 for unattached. Make Checks Payable to: GCC Track Club Please do not mail the check bring it with you and pay on location. Checks get lost or take long to receive.
Entry Information: All entries must be done on Direct Athletics. Entries are due on Tuesday 04/02/19 by 5 pm. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ADDS!!!!!!!!
Heat Sheets: Heat sheets will be emailed to head coaches on Thursday 04/04/19
Timing: Timing will be done with FinishLynx fully automatic timing system provided by Glendale College. Results will be posted on wall next to the field house
Check-In: Field Events: Report directly to the event. Track Events: Report to the clerk of course which is located next to the entrance of the track. All throwers and jumpers will get four attempts.
Food and Beverage is not allowed in the track or field at any time. Only water is allowed. There will be a concession stand available by the south end of the bleachers.
Parking & Team Drop-off: See attached map for parking. Non-school vehicles will have to pay for parking.
Spikes: Spikes longer than 1/4 will not be permitted
Training Information: The athletic training tent will be located in the field house near the flag poles on the north end of the track.
Warm-Ups: Warm – ups are inside the field and will be marked off. HEAD PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE FIELD.
Coaches meeting: meeting will be at 10:30 am and will gather near the finish line. Scratches can be done at the meeting.
Restrooms: Due to construction the restroom will be in the Auditorium building that's adjacent to the track on the north side near the check in.
Important: Due to the large size of the 100 and 200 meters we will do declarations for both men and women. Declarations for the 100 will be at 1:00 pm and for the 200 at 3:00 pm then athletes can return 20 minutes prior to the start of the race to get their lane assignments and hip numbers.
There are no electronics, headphones of any kind allowed on the field.
Hammer and Javelin will be thrown at (El Camino College, 16007 Crenshaw Blvd.
Torrance, CA 90506 ) on Friday April 6.
Information about El Camino College: Parking is located on Lot C4 which is on the North Side of Manhattan Street. School vehicles will not need parking and non-school vehicles will have to pay for parking.
