Sophomore guard Paula Galicia scored a game high 15 points to lead Glendale to a 61-46 win over Los Angeles Pierce College Saturday December 9 in the Verdugo Gym.

 

Galicia helped the Lady Vaqs jump out to a 38-22 halftime lead as she scored three baskets during a 12-0 run in the second quarter to help GCC lead 36-14. Sylvia Vartazarian and Deanna Gordillo had 12 points each Melissa Garcia had 10 to pace Glendale on offense. GCC enjoyed a big rebounding advantage, 45-23, with Vartazarian pulling down a game high 14 and Marlene Salazar adding 12. Angel Castro had four assists.

 

Glendale improved to 6-3 this season and hosts L.A. Harbor College Wednesday at 6 pm.
