Cheyenne Jankulovski leads GCC to 64-56 win over Citrus

Cheyenne Jankulovski scored 22 points to lead the GCC Women's Basketball Team to a 64-56 win over Citrus College Saturday to improve to 3-0 in the Western State Conference Eastern Division and 13-6 overall.
 
Despite trailing 24-21 at the half, the Lady Vaqs cam out strong to take the lead in the second half. Marlene Salazar added 11 points and a team high 10 rebounds, Sylvia Vartazarian had 12 points and Paula Galicia had seven points and four assists.
 
Glendale hosts Valley Coillege Wednesday at 5 pm in the Verdugo Gym in a battle of the two top teams in the WSC East.

Chris Daniels led the GCC Men's Basketball Team with 17 points in a 80-72 loss to Citrus College Saturday at Citrus. Glendale is now 1-2 in the Western State Conference Eastern Division and 8-12 overall.
 
Five Vaqueros scored in double figures Saturday with Dominick Gully, Jordan Matthews and Serigne Athj all chipping in with 11 points each and Richard Hollinger had 10 points. Athj led GCC with eight rebounds and Gully and Matthews had six boards each.
 
Glendale hosts Valley College Wednesday Jan. 24 at 7 pm in the Verdugo Gym.
