Cheyenne Jankulovski leads conference honors for GCC Women's Basketball.
Three GCC Women's Basketball players, all freshmen, were named to the All Western State Conference East Division team in a recent vote by conference coaches. The Lady Vaqueros finished the season 6-4 in WSC East play and 16-10 overall.
Cheyenne Jankulovski was named to the first team with conference averages of 15.2 points, 70 percent from the free throw line and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 55.3 percent from the field.
Sylvia Vartazarian and Savannah Fauria were both named honorable mention. Vartazarian averaged a team high 6.3 rebounds per game, 10.3 points and shot 50 percent from the three point line and 47.3 percent from the field. Fauria averaged 7.6 points, four rebounds and shot 49.3 percent from the field.
