GCC Women's Basketball clinches at least a tie for conference title with 55-34 win over Antelope Valley

The 55-34 win over Antelope Valley College Saturday resulted in a few milestones for the Lady Vaqueros.

The victory not only improved the Lady Vaqueros record to 20-4 this season and 8-0 in Western State Conference

East play but clinched a tie for at least a share of the conference title. The victory was also the ninth straight for GCC.

Ten players scored for Glendale with Penelopi Trieu with nine points on a trio of three pointers and Sylvia Vartazarian

Had eight points and eight rebounds and Marlene Salazar also had eight boards. Cheyenne Jankulovski added five points,

Five rebounds and four assists.

Glendale plays its final home game if the regular season Tuesday night against Victory Valley with the five GCC

sophomores being recognized before game time. A win for the Lady Vaqs will clinch an outright WSC East Title for Glendale.
