GCC improves to 22-2 with 65-45 win over Bakersfield

One winning streak ended and another one begins for the GCC Women's Basketball Team.  It's 21 game streak ended Wednesday Feb. 5 at L. A. Valley, 65-40. But they started a new one Saturday with a 65-46 win over Bakersfield in the Verdugo Gym to improve to 9-1 and remain in first place in the WSC South and 22-2 overall, tying the school record for wins that they set last year. 

GCC led 22-3 at the half and finished with four players in double figures led by Penelopi Trieu With 16 points. Gloria Binachi and Zoe Rouse had 14 each and Jada Aldana finished with 11. Vicky Oganyan led the team with 10 rebounds and Rouse had five assists. 

Glendale continues WSC South play Wednesday Feb. 12 hosting College of the Canyons at 5 pm In the Verdugo Gym.
