What a difference a day makes. Twenty-four hours after scoring over 100 points in an 104-59 win over Chaffey College Friday, Nov. 18 in the Glendale College Crossover event, the Lady Vaqs showed patience after overcoming a slow start to defeat Fullerton College 52-28 Saturday, Nov. 19 in the Verdugo Gym.

While five players scored in double figures Friday, led by Megan Delgado with 21 points off the bench including five three pointers in the win over Chaffey, Glendale led only 8-7 after the first quarter and 16-10 at the half while being mired in foul trouble Saturday against Fullerton That all changed in the third quarter as GCC sprinted out to a 23-point outburst to lead 39-18 by hitting three of five three pointers and nine of 16 from field. Faith Boulanger led the effort with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Tori Delacroix added 10 rebounds and Maile Yamada had 10 points and Jesni Cooper and Kaitlynn Key had six rebounds each and Cooper added three steals.

Glendale, tied for No. 11 in the California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll for Nov. 8, hosts El Camino at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 in the Verdugo Gym and plays at Moorpark Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m.
