At the outset of the 2022-23 basketball season, the GCC Women's Basketball Team virtually ran away with its first four home games but its first road contest at Moorpark College Nov. 23 proved to be another story as they fell to the host Raiders 57-41

Now 4-1, Glendale led 13- 9 after the first 10 minutes but suffered through a 22-9-point disadvantage in the second quarter to trail 31-22 at halftime and game long shooting woes had them trailing the rest of the way. Sophomore Faith Boulanger led the team with 13 points and Maile Yamada had 10 and Jesni Cooper led the team with seven boards. In the Vaqs 61-24 win over El Camino Tuesday, Megan Delgado led the team with 16 points off the bench and five steals and Boulanger and Cooper had six boards each and Yamada had five assists.

GCC will not play again until Friday Dec. 2 when they hit the road to face Orange Coast College at 7 pm and face El Camino the next night at 5 pm at OCC.
