In winning its third straight game to improve to 2-0 in the WSC South and 12-4 overall, the GCC Women's Basketball Team continued to shoot the ball well from distance and share the ball with success as demonstrated by its 64-55 conference win over visiting West L.A. College Saturday Jan. 7 in the Verdugo Gym.

The Lady Vaqs hit 10 3-pointers against the Wildcats to give them 35 in the last three games won, a clear sign of improvement in an area where the team struggled early in the season and had 15 assists in the game. Faith Boulanger led GCC with 19 points and seven rebounds and hit three long balls early to help Glendale take a lead they would not relinquish, leading 28-21 at halftime and extending that to 54-35 after three quarters. Jesni Cooper added nine points, five rebounds and three steals and Tori Delacroix and Megan Delgado had seven points each and Hana Trieu had four assists and four boards.

Glendale hits the road this week for a pair of WSC South games, at L.A. Valley Wednesday Jan. 11 at 5 pm and at Bakersfield Saturday Jan. 14 at 3 pm.
