Just three days after rallying for a home win against Citrus College, the GCC Women's Basketball team was on the wrong end of a 68-67 road loss to College of the Canyons Saturday Jan. 21 and are now tied with COC for first place in the WSC South at 5-1. The Lady Vaqs led 26-25 at halftime but could not maintain an advantage in the second half despite several lead changes in the game as time ticked off the clock.

Faith Boulanger led Glendale in scoring with 20 points on seven of 12 shooting and also had three rebounds and two blocked shots. Megan Delgado added 14 points off the bench and hit four 3-pointers, Maile Yamada had 13 points and three assists and Jesni Cooper had a team high eight rebounds and eight points and Hana Trieu also had eight points.

Glendale continues WSC South play with a home game Wednesday Jan. 25 at 5 pm against Antelope Valley College in the Verdugo Gym.
