In a battle of two of the top teams in Southern California, the GCC Women's Basketball Team fell to undefeated Orange Coast College 71-66 in the second game of the OCC Crossover Saturday Dec. 2. In the Lady Vaqs first game Friday, Glendale beat Long Beach City College 64-48.
Now 5-2 overall, GCC was led in scoring against OCC by Maya Ulery with 17 points and the freshman guard added four rebounds and four assists. Paola Gorgeiz added 15 points and six rebounds and Osanna Tirtiyan had 12 points, a team high eight rebounds and four assists. Patil Yaacoubian added nine points and two steals off the bench.
Glendale continues non-conference play with a home game Friday Dec. 8 against Irvine Valley College.
