GCC WBB improves to 10-2 with pair of wins in Ventura College Crossover Dec. 28-30
The GCC WBB team won its fifth straight game Saturday Dec. 30, 47-31 over Irvine Valley College in the Ventura College Crossover event. They previously defeated Ventura College 56-49 Dec. 28.
 
Ranked No. 5 in Southern California and No. 8 in the state, the Lady Vaqs received a solid around game from Paola Gorgeiz with 10 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Osanna Tirityan had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Evelyn Birau had 13 points and seven rebounds. Lisette Meza led the team with four assists.
 
Glendale concludes non-conference play with a pair of home games at 5 pm Friday Jan. 5 against Imperial Valley College and at 5 pm Jan. 6 against Cuesta College in the Verdugo Gym.
