GCC WBB wins 10th straight game over L.A. Valley College, 77-52 Jan. 17; Lady Vaqs improve to 3-0 in WSC play and 15-2 overall
First place in the WSC South is a familiar place to be for the GCC Women's Basketball Team and they solidified that status with a 77-52 win over L.A. Valley College 77-52 Jan. 17 at home in the Verdugo Gym. GCC is 3-0 in conference play and 15-2 overall.
 
Ranked No, 5 in Southern California and No. 8 in the state, the Lady Vaqs were led in scoring by sophomore Paola Gorgeiz with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Osanna Tirityan added 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Malia Ulery added 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists. 
 
Glendale continues conference play with a 3 pm home game Saturday Jan. 20 against Bakersfield College in the Verdugo Gym.
