Saraukhanyan and Castaneda pace GCC Women's Soccer to 1-0 win
The GCC Women's Soccer team opened up the 2018 season with a 1-0 win over Compton College Friday August 31 at Sartoris Field.
Freshman Adrianna Sarukhanyan scored at the 26:40 mark of the first half on an assist by Amber Flores and freshman goalie Joceline Castaneda pitched a shutout as she turned back three shots on goal by the visitors to post the victory. Glendale totaled seven shots on goal and 19 shots total.
The Lady Vaqs host Imperial Valley College Tuesday Sept. 4 at 7 pm at Sartoris Field.
