More or less, the goal scoring ability of Gianna Mor has proven to be critical for the GCC Women's Soccer Team as her late goal helped salvage a 1-1 tie at home against Los Angeles Valley College Tuesday Oct. 17 at Sartoris Field. The goal by Mor was her fourth of the year and came at the 79:41 mark with Valley leading 1-0. Goalie Ashley Messier paced the defense with seven saves.
"The ladies played well against Valley. We created some offensive opportunities and moved the ball around well but could not score except for the late goal by Gianna Mor,'' said GCC Head Coach Jorge Mena. "But I'm happy with our effort, we played hard for 90 minutes and everyone played. We just have to continue to improve and work to get better each game."
Now 1-8-3 and 0-5-2 in WSC play, Glendale closes out the week with a home game Friday Oct. 20 at 1:30 pm
