Glendale Vaqueros take undefeated season away from Santa Barbara Vaqueros.  With the winds reaching a high of 15 mph and the temperature looming in the 50's, play became unbearable at times today.  Glendale took 4 of the 6 singles early, while #5 and #6 singles battled opponent, as well as mother nature.

Ruth Kachatorian, lost the first set, 5-7 and was down in the second set, 0-3.  "You're not out of this match yet.  Focus on the next 2 games, but more importantly, focus on the next point first," said Coach Sy to Kachatorian during changeover.  Ruth won the next 6 games to split sets and played a third set, where she saved two match points to win the third set, 7-6 (10).

Felicia Moradian, also lost the first set, 3-6, but came back to win the second set, 6-0.  "The great thing about tennis is you need to prove yourself.  This is your opportunity, now go out there and embrace the moment," said Coach Sy before Moradian took the third set 7-5.

The team took all six singles after 3 hours of grueling play.  The team took all 3 doubles thereafter, to clinch the match 9-0.  The Lady Vaqueros will be travelling to Riverside on Friday, 2/23 and College of the Canyons on Tuesday, 2/27.
