If her competitive volleyball career is over as a player after two years at Glendale College, Nicole Oberhammer can look back fondly after checking all the boxes as she prepares to transfer to San Diego State University. Her play stood out enough for her to be named second team All-WSC in 2018-19 for the indoor team and second team All-WSC for the inaugural beach team in 2019. For the 2019 Lady Vaqs squad, that tied for third in conference play at 6-6 and was 9-12 overall, Nicole ranked second in several team stats including kills (149), service aces (31) and digs with 263.

 

"Nikki is a once in a lifetime player, teammate and friend. Always honest, doing things out of love and striving to be the best, knowing these actions will make the team better, '' said Women's Volleyball Head Coach Yvette Ybarra. "As a coach, I have come to rely on her frankness to lead the team and communicate goals, desires and attributes of a successful team. Nikki will be missed so much but she has left a lasting impression that will help the returners in the future.''
