The GCC Women's Volleyball team had a tough week in WSC South play, as they dropped a pair of home matches in the Verdugo Gym, 3-0 to Bakersfield College Oct. 18 (25-21, 25-15, 25-18) and 3-0 to College of the Canyons Oct. 20 (25-14, 25-19, 25-14).
Jaydyn Dedeaux led GCC with four kills against Bakersfield and three against Canyons and Symiah Rodriguez had four blocks and four kills. Caitlyn Mendoz had 14 and 12 assists in both matches as well as two blocks against Bakersfield.
Glendale plays next Friday Oct. 27 in its annual "Think Pink' game at 6 pm against Antelope Valley College with any funds raised during the game donated to Breast Cancer Research.
