On a night when the GCC Women's Volleyball celebrated life through its annual Breast Cancer Awareness game, the Lady Vaqs were celebrating on the court as well in a four-game win over visiting Antelope Valley College. The 3-1 win at 23-25,25-15, 25-20, 25-22 victory evened up Glendale's WSC South record at 4-4 and are 9-12 overall.
Hitter Jaydyn Dedeaux led the Lady Vaqx with 17 kills and Symiah Rodriguez added nine kills and five blocks with both players helping GCC dominate the net. Karina Biel had 23 digs and four service aces and Sofia Gregorio added 13 digs and four service aces.
GCC is on the road this week with WSC matches at Citrus College Wednesday Nov, 1 and at West Los Angeles College Friday Nov. 3. Both matches start at 6 pm.
