Coach Maria has been with Glendale College and Glendale Volleyball since 1998. In 1997 she graduated from John Marshall High School in Los Angeles, CA. Maria played 2 years for the Vaqueros and has been with them ever since. After playing she continued her studies at Glendale College while keeping close ties with the volleyball team as a volunteer coach. With the hire of Head Coach Yvette Ybarra in 2002, Maria stayed on as an assistant coach while continuing her education at Cal State University, Northridge. In the spring of 2004, Maria earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.

In addition to her coaching duties, Coach Maria has been coaching club volleyball for 5 years as an assistant coach.  The last couple years she has been coaching alongside Coach Ybarra assisting the 18U and 17U for Forza1 West Volleyball Club in Pasadena, CA
