David Rodriguez was honored as the 2016 California Community College Cross Country Coaches Association 2016 Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year at it's recent meetings in Las Vegas.

Rodriguez has been coaching at GCC for 15 years and was instrumental in the Lady Vaqueros defending their 2016 state championship after winning the title in 2015. He serves as the team;s recruiting coordinator and has helped many of the athletes he has worked with into All-Americans who have transferred to four-year schools.
