GCC Women's Team Captain Angie Salas led the GCC women to its 13th consecutive team title since 2005 with a third place finish over the 5K course in 18:33.89. GCC beat Canyons, 44-70, for the title. Jennifer Cazares was seventh in 19:21.5, Nona Boyajyan was eighth in 19:22.9, Genesis Siam-Alvarez was 11th in 19:38.18 and Daisy Romero was 16th in 19:52.92.
The GCC women will try for its fourth straight Southern California Championship
Friday Nov. 3 in Santa Clarita.
